“Naomi helped me a lot on this”

In particular, he reveals that he received help from Naomi Osaka. ” I actually struggled with mental health early on and there were times in my tennis career where I was really struggling. I wasn’t sure I had the right to feel like that. And then I met Naomi. We did a podcast together, and she opened up. I deal with messages every day with people reaching out to me and I try to respond to as many people as I can. I think men my age have a really hard time opening up. I can’t feel weak…Naomi helped me a lot on this he confides.
“I feel a little tired in the morning when I get up”
The old demons of Kyrgios resurface recently. Physical fatigue accumulates and gives way to psychological fatigue. ” I feel a little tired in the morning when I get up. At this stage of the season, it’s very important for me to have my physio with me all the time. We work two to three hours a day, which allows me to chain matches like probably never before. People only see our wins or our losses, but there are a lot of things they don’t see. They don’t realize all the challenges we face as a tennis player, what we go through in our personal lives. But I keep a good state of mind, I’m positive. My team and my girlfriend keep me positive. »
“I would like to be with my family”
The losing finalist Wimbledon knows familiar worries. Still, he tries to stay positive. “It’s hard because my mum is in the hospital right now, my dad isn’t doing very well either, and my brother just had a baby. So I would like to be with my family. But I keep a good state of mind, I’m positive. My team and my girlfriend keep me positive» confess Kyrgios.
